Goes To Reward

Funral services for Mr. G. C. Avry, whose death occurred in the city hospoital at Columbus, Februry 24, following a brief illness while on a visit to relatives in that city, were held on Tuesday, Februry 25, at 3 o'clock at the Nazarene church. The J. W. Chambers, pastor of the Nazarene church, conducted the service and was assisted by Rev. W. P. Colvin of Lanett.

The deceassed was 66 years of age and had lived in Fairfax for 14 years, moving here from Tuscaloosa. He had been in failing health for several years, but was thought to be getting along very nicely when strickne with an illness which resulted in death. Mr. Avery is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mesdames Forrest Davis of Columbus, Bennett Hicks and James Hill of Fairfax; two sons, Rev. J. M. Avery of Hartsell and Claud Avery of Fairfax.

Pallbearers were Ralph Fetner, Paul Davis, Ben Morgan, Eugene Watson, G. W. and Cecil Roberts.

Johnson and Company were in charge of arrangements for the funeral and burial.
