Believed to be Robert Arthur Bond who was taken ill at Vicksburg. He died in 1864. Many others of the Bond family from that era are buried here.
While at the cemetary in 2001, during a trip I saw a marker which was barely legible but said "R. A. Bond Died 1864"

First Spouse: Maria Jane (Palmer) Bond (12 Jan 1834 - 16 Feb 1859). Married 16 Feb 1854 In South Carolina.

Robert and Maria Jane (Palmer) moved from the Abbeville District in South Carolina to Mississippi in 1856 along with his Mother Susan. The Abbeville District was later split up into Abbeville County, half of Greenwood County and half of Mc Cormick County.

Robert and Maria had two children, Champion Palmer Bond (06 Nov 1855 - ____) and Augustus O'Neal Bond (04 Sep 1858 - 26 Nov 1950)

Second Spouse: Rebecca E. (Towers) Bond (Abt. 1840 - 12 Nov 1881). Married 06 Sep 1860 in Choctaw County?, Mississippi.

Robert remarried Rebecca E. Towers. He served in the Civil War. He died of Disease during that time.
In the 1860 Census of Choctaw County, Mississippi we see a Robert A. Bond age 32 years listed with a Susan Bond Age 64. There is also Champion Palmer Bond age 4 and Augustus Bond age 2. They lived next door to the Towers family where Rebecca E. Towers is listed as a spinster at age 20.

Robert and Rebeccaa had two children, Alexander Reed Bond (26 Nov 1861 - 28 Nov 1892) and William Payden Bond (11 Dec 1863 - 15 Jan 1881).

Robert A. Bond (born in South Carolina on 05/14/1828 ?) and sister Mary Elizabeth Bond (born in 1826) are the first on record at the present. Mary Elizabeth married W.M. Guest and traveled from Abbeville S.C. to Mississippi in the mid 1800's (thought to be 1856).

Robert A. Bond married 1st wife Maria Jane Palmer (01/11/1834 – 02/16/1859) on 02/16/1854. They had two children: Champion Palmer Bond (born 10 or 11/06/1855) and Augustus O'Neal Bond (09/04/1858 – 11/25/1950).

When Maria Jane Palmer died on 02/16/1859, Robert married 2nd wife, Rebecca E. Towers (birth date n/a) on 9/06/1860. The marriage possibly took place in South Carolina. Robert and Rebecca had two children: Alexander Reed Bond (born 10 or 11/26/1861) and William Payden Bond (born 12/11/1863).

Robert is thought to be buried in Vicksburg - location and name of cemetery is unknown.
