Mrs. John Coy Is Heart Victim
Succumbs Sunday at Home Near Needham

Mrs. Lyda Ann Coy, wife of John Coy, died at the family home near Needham, Sunday evening at 10:30 o'clock from a heart condition from which she had been suffering for the past three months. She was 75 years old.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Vandivier mortuary at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning. The Rev. H. G. Rowe, pastor of the Community Congregational Church, will be in charge of the rites. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends are invited to call at the mortuary Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon from 3 to 5 and in the evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.

Mrs. Coy was born, the daughter of John E. Walters and Hannah Long Walters, near Nineveh, on September 11, 1871. She had been a lifelong resident of Johnson County.

On September 11, 1890, her 19th birthday, she was married to John Coy. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Coy, three of whom preceded their mother in death.

Surviving with the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Fred Parsley, Mrs. Calvin Dragoo, both of Clark township; and three sons, Elba Coy and Oliver Coy, of Clark Township, and Hugh Coy, of Fairland.

Two sisters, Mrs. Lewis Royce, of El Reno, Okla.; Mrs. Frank Mullikin, Franklin; three brothers, Lewis Walters, of Franklin; Young Walters, Paragon, and Clarence Walters, Trafalger, remain with 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A member of the Community Congregational Church, Mrs. Coy took an active interest in all its affairs as long as her health permitted. She was devoted to her family and was a good neighbor. A great lover of flowers, she was always glad to share them with friends.
