Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah Angeline Smith, 63, of Route 2, Excelsior Springs, will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at Old New Garden church with Elder Leon Clevenger officiating assisted by Elder Paul Brown. Burial will be in Old New Garden Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was fatally injured at about 7:15 p.m. Saturday night in a two-car collision at the edge of St. Joseph. Also injured in the accident were her husabnd, Elder Clay Vance Smith, 57, and his mother, Mrs. Hattie Swafford, 83, both of the Excelsior Springs area. Elder Smith suffered neck and leg injuries, and cut on the back of the head. He was released yesterday from a St. Joseph hospital.

Returning Home: They were en route home from Loveland, IS., where Elder Smith preached at a Primitive Baptist church.

Mrs. Smith was born September 28, 1900, in Ray county, the daughter of William R. Riggs and Mary Coates Riggs. She lived all her life in this area except for a short time spent in California. On June 13, 1950, she was married to Elder Clay Vance Smith, at the home of Elder Leon Clevenger. Mrs. Smith was a member of Old New Garden church.

Surviving are her husband, Elder Clay Vance Smith, four daughters, Helen Berglund, Lexington, Leanna Holt, this city, Wilma Clevenger, Freemont, CA., Louetta Thurston, Wetherfield, CT., a brother, Elkin Riggs, Richmond; and 13 grand-children.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Smith, Leon Smith, Ancel Smith, Irvin Robinson, Cecil Gaines, and Ronald Duncan.

Flower girls will be Jean Smith, Gayle Smith, Mary Smith, Carolyn Duncan, Anna Robinson, Carol Lee Callaway, Dianna Wilson and Mary Gaines.

Ruth Robb, Norma Ellerman, Ella Woods and Lowry Crum will provide the music. The family will receive frends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. this evening at Prichard Funeral home. She will lie in state at the funeral home until 12 noon Wednesday.
