William Clay Hunt, 58, Route 1, Winchester, died suddenly Monday evening , May 3, 1993, at Randolph County Hospital in Winchester.He was born Feb. 12, 1935, in Winchester, the son of Clay and Ruth Bradford Hunt and was retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Container. He was a member of Anchor Hocking Sympathy Club, the Ridgeville American Legion and the V.F.W. of Union City. He had served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his father, Clay Hunt of Winchester; his wife Lynn Hunt of Winchester; three son, Dean Hunt of Bethel, Shane Hunt, serving in the service at Ft. Ord, Calif., and Daryle Hunt of Tuscon, Ariz., one daughter, Jeannie Hunt of Winchester; 10 grandchidlren; two brothers, George Hunt of Winchester and James Hunt of Texas; two sisters, Claretta Collins of Winchester and Evelyn Sheppard of Richmond; two step-brothers, Robert Ross of Richmond and Larry Ross of Muncie, and two sisters, Regina Jones of Dunkirk and Norma Sears of Michigan.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Walker Funeral Home in Winchester with the Rev. Steve Conner officiating. Burial will be in Salamonia Cemetery.Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
