PFC Louis Edward Haddock Jr, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Pollocksville, NC.

Private First Class Louis Edward Haddock Jr was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service and a Draftee, PFC Haddock served our country until October 2nd, 1966 in South Vietnam. He was 20 years old and was not married. It was reported that Louis died from an undetermined explosion. His body was recovered. PFC Haddock is on panel 11E, line 036 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year.

My uncle is still remembered. I didn't know him, I was born almost 20 years after his death, but my father talks about him still. Uncle C.T., your family still loves you and we have not forgotten. Lashonda Haddock, 2803 Oak Grove Rd, Pollocksville, NC 28223.

He was the son of Mr and Mrs Louis E Haddock, Route #1, Box 261, Pollocksville, NC.

He served with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, USARV.

He was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge(CIB), The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal.
