*From the TERRELL TIMES STAR, (Kaufman Co.), Friday May 15, 1891: 'John R. Clay went to Paris last Saturday on learning that his brother, Logan Clay, was killed in that city by a man named Toll Dean.' (Details of the murder are on front page of this paper).
He was the son of L R Clay and Adelia Robinson.
