Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 13 at 3 p.m. in Forest Grove United Methodist Church for Myrtle Dickey, 78, who died February 3 at Friendsview Manor in Newberg. Burial was February 6 in Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Dickey was born August 26, 1892 in Alexander, S.D. After she came to Oregon she was married on June 31, 1914 to Benjamin U. Dickey. He died on October 21, 1964. The couple farmed for many years near Forest Grove and also operated Dickey's Flowers. They moved to Newberg nine years ago. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Forest Grove.
She is survived by two sons, Robert B. Dickey of Seattle, Donald J. Dickey of Lake Oswego, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Attrell's Funeral Chapel in Newberg is in charge of arrangements.
