Anna Catherine Berrens Chilton Times May 13, 1922

The funeral of Mrs. Theodore Berrens who died on Thursday of last week was held on Monday morning from St. Mary's church with a Solemn Requiem Mass, Rev. L. N. Thelen officiating, and Rev. De Hahen and Rev. John Bertram of Campbellsport, a nephew of the deceased, officiating.
Anna Catherine Wollersheim was born at Johnsburg on March 6, 1859, and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Wollersheim. On September 6, 1877, she was united in marriage to Theodore Berrens of St. Cloud, and they made their home in the town of Stockbridge on what is now the O. E. Moehrke farm. Later they moved to Chilton town onto the farm now owned by Jacob Roell where they spent about five years and then came to this city where Mr. Berrens followed the carpenter trade. Ten children were born to them, one, a son Fred, preceding his mother in death.
Mrs. Berrens was a good Christian woman and worked solely for the welfare and advancement of her household and family, unselfishly forgetting her own comfort while doing this. About the middle of February she fell and fractured three ribs and was taken to the home of her son, John, remaining there six weeks. Complications set in as a result of the fall which were the ultimate cause of her death.
She is survived by her husband and nine children, Mrs. Elmer Bostwick of Fond du Lac, Peter of Menasha, Mrs. Victor Orde of Green Bay, John, Edward, Joseph and Carl of this city, Mrs. Lloyd Link of Milwaukee and Miss Catherine at home all of whom were present at the funeral. She also leaves two brothers, Math Wollersheim of St Nazianz and Fred Wollersheim of Johnsburg, three sisters, Mrs. Nicholas Lefeber and Mrs. Joseph Betram of Johnsburg and Mrs. Lawrence Schumacher of Washington.
