Rev. Marvin Eugene Bramman, 62, of Franklin Street died early Tuesday morning, Jan. 22, 2008, at his home after battling multiple myeloma.
Born Dec 2, 1945, in Lincoln, Nebraska, he was the son of Henry G. and Delilah Jane (Harwood) Bramman Jr. He was a 1964 graduate of Juanita High School (NE), and in 1968 he graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. He was ordained as an Assembly of God minister in Grand Island, NE in 1972.
On July 20, 1968, he married Kathryn Helen Tucker in Proctorsville. Following their marriage, they made their home in Palentine, Ill. and Wayne, NE where he pastored in Assembly of God churches. They moved to Rutland then came to Barre in 1978 where they have since resided. He pastored the Marshfield-Cabot United Church and was a longtime member and associate pastor in the Christian Alliance Church in Barre.
He had been a clerk and a photographer at the Foto Shop for several years, had managed the Fisherman's Galley on the Barre-Montpelier Road as well as managing Kentucky Fried Chicken in Berlin for the past 12 years.
Marvin enjoyed writing, storytelling, photography, singing with his family, youth ministry and expressing a playful personality.
Besides his wife, survivors include three daughters, Bethany Scott and her husband, Treg of Burlington; Bellamy Eshw and her husband, Hani, and Berianne Bramman, all of Chicago, Ill; five grandchildren, Nineveh, Aturina, Ashur, Ishtar and Nahren Eswh, all of Chicago, Ill; a sister, Dorothy Roeder of Salina, Kansas; two brothers, William Bramman and his wife, Donna, and David Bramman and his wife, Alicia, all of Hastings, NE; a half-brother, Fred Brammann and his wife, Barbara, of Jemison, Alabama; and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Clarence James Bramman.
His funeral will be held Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at 2 p.m. in the Hedding United Methodist Church in Barre. Later interment will be made in the Plymouth Notch Cemetery in Plymouth. Friends may call at the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy St., Barre, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
