Selina is my Great Grandmother but I am to date unable to complete her history. However, I want to validate her as much as I am able so I have decided to go with what I have at present..of course,my search for more detail will continue.

1850 Census...Selina Parish age 18 birth based on her grave stone is 29 May 1832..Birthplace Tennessee..in 1850 her home was District 8, Giles, Tenn and she is married to Joel A. Parish, age 33..Joel must have died before 1858 .
Alabama Marriage Collection 1800-1969 list the following:
C O Hodges and spouse Celia Parrish..Date of Marriage 1 April 1858 in Lauderdale Co, Ala
1860 Census list as follows:
Selina Hodges age 28 Birthplace Tennessee..Home in 1860 Factory, Lauderdale, Alabama.. Household members include her husband Oakley Hodges , his children, a Nancy Hodges age 1..assumed to be Selina and Oakley's and Frances Parish age 9 and Henry Parish age 5.. I would think she and Joel must have had 2 children before his death.

Celina Hodge and spouse Meridith Brewer..Marriage date is 20 July 1867..Lawrence Co, Tenn
1870 Census reads as follows:
Selina Brewer age 35..Birthplace Tenn..home in 1870 is District 6, Wayne , Tennessee..Post office Waynesboro..Household members Merida Brewer age 54, Selina Brewer ..age 35..Nancy Brewer..age 26..Nancy is a daughter of Merida by his first wife Nettie..Lorner Brewer ..daughter...Lorner I believe will prove to be Laura /Laurer ..age 2 ..Brownlow Brewer age 1/12..it also list Nancy Hodges age 11...James Hodges age 7 and John Hodges age 4..James, John and Nancy were born in Ala

Meredie Bruer age 67..Surliner Bruer age49..James Bruer age 17..Johny Bruer age 15...James and Johny would prove to be her sons by Oakley Hodges...Lorrer Brewer age 12 and Brownlow Bruer age 10..my search stops here except for her Grave stone that reads she died Aug 1890.
I have yet to find death documention other than her grave stone at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Waynesboro ..My Grandfather is her son Brownlow Brewer and his death certificate signed by his wife, my grandmother, Annie Wilson Tolle Brewer list his mother's maiden name to be Christian and I believe the marriage of Joel A. Parish to Selina Christian, Giles Co, Tn 1849-1850(from the western Star) supports the fact her maiden name was Selina Christian. So her name would be Selina Christian, Parish, Hodges, Brewer.
