(1865 - 1944); Daniel Thomas (1867 - 1945); Catherine A. "Kate" (1869 - 1956); George Clinton "Clint" (1871 - 1936); Mary E. "Mae" (1875 - 1959); William Edward "Will" (1880 - 1973); and Arlie Mae McARTHUR (1884 - 1971).
Daniel was a shoemaker and farmer, living all over Michigan: Montcalm, Clinton, Gratiot, Oakland and Wexford Counties. He served in Berdan's 1st Regiment, United States Sharp Shooters, Company I. He was furloughed due to illness just days before the end of the war. Because he never returned to duty, he was denied a pension in his senior years.
He died in Oxford Township, Oakland County, Michigan.
