Mrs. W. C. Jackson, Mount Airy, Rout 2 - 65, wife of Walter C. Jackson, retired mail carrier of Mount Airy, Route 2 died at her Winter home in Fort Pierce Fla,. At 12:30 a.m. yesterday She was born in Surry County July 17 1886, daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Haymore Saunders, She was married to Mr Jackson on Dec. 29, 1905. Surviving are the husband; five daughters, Mrs. Seldon Davis of Mount Airy, Route 1, Mrs. Jack Springthorpe of Mount Airy, Route3: Cullin Efird of Albemarle, Mrs., W.J. Iseman and Mrs. Fred Myers, both of Fort Pierce Fla.: one son James F. Jackson of Mount Airy Route 1; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The body will arrive at Moody Funeral Home here today where funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. George W. Williams will be in charge. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Mr. And Mrs. Jackson have made their home in Fort Pierce, Fla, for a number of years. She had been a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church since a small child. Pallbearers will be, Carl Kirkman, Robert I Perkins. Eddie Short, Charles Davis, Albert Davis and Johnnie Springthorpe.
