From The New Castle Record, Saturday, October 17, 1903: Mr. John Craft, after several months of illness, died at his home in New Castle on last Sunday morning in his 79th year. Mr. Craft had lead a very active life and his death was due to general breakdown. All of his life was spent in this community where he married and reared a large family. He was himself a member of a large family of children, only two of whom are now living. The remains were interred in the New Castle Cemetery on last Monday.
