Miss Linnie Etta Hobson married Joe Davis on 20 August 1899.
Services for Mrs. Joe Davis, 70, were held at the Assembly of God church officiated by Rev. D.R. Freitag, pastor assisted by Rev. H.H. Wray.
Mrs. Davis moved to Newcastle, Texas in 1910 and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was a loyal mother, loyal to her church and community. Mrs. Davis gave full and complete service to God. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and an active member since 1901.
Survived by her husband; one son - Clyde Lee Davis; two daughters - Mrs. Clevie "Trula" Cope and Mrs. H.F. "Ruth" Malone; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister - Mrs. J.G. Eakin.
