Bryck was born on September 5, 1927 in Loay Bohol, Philippines to Castor and Teofila Apellanes. He was 1 of 9 brothers and sisters.
On May 20, 1956 Bryck married Florencia Balili and they had their daughter, Florette. From there, a beautiful family tree blossomed that now consists of 12. Bryck is loved and adored by his family, as he is the patriarch and root of their tree.
Bryck was driven by his own accomplishments. In high school he graduated as a salutatorian. He holds two college degrees, one in Business and another in Law. In the Philippines, he worked for the Bureau of Internal Revenue. After migrating to the United States in 1979, he worked as an Accountant for the State of California and has been retired since 1999.
Bryck was passionate about writing, meticulous in his daily life, gentle to others, humorous in nature and affectionate to his loved ones. He spent most of his time with his wife, enjoyed long walks, caring for his two dogs and spending time with his great granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Florencia Apellanes, his daughter Florette Arcenas, his grandson who he raised, Earl Apellanes and their families.
Bryck's family would like to thank all those who cared for him during his final days.
