Departed this life May 25, 2012, Mrs. Catherine C. McWhite, of Richmond.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie McWhite Sr. and one grandson, Covin McWhite.
She is survived by three daughters; Wilma Turner, Sarah Wilmot and Minister Angela Bullock; one son, Willie McWhite Jr.; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one sister, Willie Reese Yearby; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Yvonne H. McWhite; one son-in-law, Willie A. Turner Jr.; and other relatives and friends.
Remains rested at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where the family received friends from 6:30pm to 7:30pm on Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 11am, at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street, where remains laid in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown (Pastor) officiated. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Family and friends assembled at the church 10:45am Wednesday, May 30, 2012.
