James Orville Staton, 74, of 21 Woodward St. died of natural causes April 15, 1987, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Oteen, N.C. He was an employee of Fazio's Garage, a veteran of World War II, and a Baptist.

He was the son of the late J. Clinton Staton and Edna Mae Mosley Staton.

Surviving are two sisters, Kathryn Helpa of Booth Wynn, PA., and Semerimis Babb of Travelers Rest;

[Three sons, Glenn Staton Sr., Tommy Staton, and Jimmy Staton, all of Travelers Rest; and one daughter, Susan Ellenburg, also of Travelers Rest, also survive. He was also predeceased by a son, J. Seldon Staton.]
