Donald "Don" Barbour
Birth: Apr. 19, 1927
Death: Oct. 5, 1961

Musician. A native of Columbus, Indiana, Barbour was a member of the vocal group The Four Freshmen. Formed in Indianapolis in 1948, their ballads include "Their Hearts Were Full Of Spring", "It Could Happen To You", "Route 66", "Day By Day", "The Day Isn't Long Enough", and "How Can I Tell Her". Barbour died in a car accident in Los Angeles at the age of 44.

How sad; only 32 years old! I enjoyed "The Four Freshmen" never knowing one of them was a Columbus native! Thanks for the memories. May you rest in heavenly peace.
