Thomas James Royer, 80, died April 29, 2009, in a Wichita Falls, Texas, hospital.
Service is 2 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2009 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel with Rev. Earl Royer officiating. Burial will follow in Dark Corner Cemetery.
He was born Feb. 3, 1929, in Mineral Wells, the son of Carl and Bessie Lee Dodd Royer. He married Reva Ballard on Nov. 3, 1952, in Mineral Wells. He was a longtime resident of Jacksboro and a Baptist. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. He was a hard-working man and loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Reva Royer of Jacksboro; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Bee and Cindy Royer of Jacksboro, and Tommy Irwin and Bonita Royer of Mineral Wells; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dora Madge Norman of Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and four brothers.
