His obituary from the August 31, 1922 Republican [Danville, Hendricks County, Indiana]:
Fred Bonswor, age 41 [should be 49], who came here 15 years ago from Detroit as foreman of the construction crew building the traction line, died at his home in Detroit last week after a long illness. After completion of the Danville traction, Bonswor continued to make his home here and was a rural route carrier from the Danville office under Postmaster Charles P. Hornaday. He was married to Miss Florence Curtis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Curtis, but his wife died a few months [actually 5 years] after their marriage. After a residence of several years here, Bonswor went to Detroit where he married an old schoolmate and they returned to Danville to live. Two years later they moved to Detroit, Mr. Bonswor having accepted a position with the Street Railway Company, where he since had been employed.
