Clara was born August 12, 1927 in Rush County, Indiana to Emmett and Edna (McHenry) Starkey. Clara married Harry Adams on September 25, 1948 and he preceded her in death on July 12, 2009.
She worked in the sewing dept at Schnadig Corporation for many years until retiring in 1987. She was graduated from Milroy High School in the class of 1945. Clara was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church where she had been a Deaconess. She had also been a past Cub Scout Troop leader.
She leaves behind one son, Gary Adams of Rushville and one daughter, Pam Fisher of Rushville, IN, one brother, Emmett ("Dink") Starkey, Jr. of Raymond, Ohio and one sister, Lucille McCorkle of Shelbyville, IN, two grandchildren, Mrs. Jamey (Cory) Parker of Rushville and Mr. Dennis (Toni) Cross of Milroy, IN and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death one daughter, Rebecca in 1969 and two brothers.
Rev. Dena Vittorio will preside.
