Billy D. Burris, 83, of Russellville, died Sunday, September 20, 2009, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Center.
Born April 14, 1926, at Atkins, AR, he was the son of the late W. A. "Ott" and Cora Davis Burris. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, LaDonna Matchett and a great-grandson, Caleb Michael Matchett.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Patterson Baker Burris of Russellville; son and daughter-in-law, Marshall and Becky Baker of Russellville; four daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Jerry Don Burris of Hot Springs, Beverly and Michael Webb of Corinth, Texas, Relda and Jim Headrick of Paris, Texas, Miranda and Bill Caldwell of Atkins; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at St. Joe Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev Donald Matchett, Rev. Jerry Don Burris and Rev. Bill Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in St. Joe Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Caldwell, Justin Powell, Randy Turner, Christopher Webb, Ken Holmes, Michael Matchett and Joshua Holmes.
Grandsons will serve as honorary bearers.
