MRS. JOHN S. BEVAN ~
Mrs. Adelaide S. Bevan, 64,
of 174 Hobart St., wife of John
S. Bevan, died Saturday in St.
Elizabeth Hospital.
She was born in [Greene],
daughter of Clinton and Emily
Diamond Crandall. She attended
Frankfort schools. In 1927,
she was married to Mr. Bevan
in Utica.
Mrs. Bevan was a sewing machine
operator at the Utica Knitting
Mills, Collegiate Cap Co.,
and Mohawk Bedding Co., retiring
in 1968.
She was a member of Grace
Episcopal Church and the wo-
men's Benevolent Association.
Besides her husband she
leaves a son, John E., Utica,
and four brothers, Harold Crandall,
Endicott; Franklin and
Charles Crandall, both of Ox-
ford,and Stanley Crandall, Ari-
zona.
The funeral will be 10:30 Wed-
nesday from the John S. Friedel
Funeral Home. Burial
will be in Oriskany Cemetery,
Oriskany. Calling hours are 7
to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to
9 tomorrow.
