Lenard L. Beach 63, Tonganoxie, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. Funeral services were Monday, March 1, 2004 at the Christian Church in Tonganoxie. Burial was in Hubbel Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Beach was born Jan. 7, 1941, in Alton, Mo., the son of Raymond and Louise (Willard) Beach. He was a member of the First Congregational Church, Tonganoxie. He worked as a machinist for Santa Fe Railroad, in Kansas City, Kan., for 43 years, retiring in 2002.
On Sept. 20, 1958 he married Molly Carol Mestagh. She died June 27, 2002.
He is survived by three sons, Roger Leon Beach, Chris Alan Beach and James Dean Beach, all of Tonganoxie; a daughter, Julie DeMaranville, Tonganoxie; he also raised three nieces and one nephew, Colette Krupco, McLouth; Karen Davidson, Lawrence; Margaret Bath, Wellington, Colo.; Chuck Mestagh, McLouth; his mother, Louise Beach, Tonganoxie; five brothers, David Beach, Oskaloosa, Kan.; Jerry Beach, Tonganoxie; Joe Beach, Baldwin City, Kan.; Ronnie Beach, Oskaloosa; and Martin Beach, Tonganoxie; two sisters Linda Hisaw, Branson, Mo.; and Norma Allen, Oskaloosa; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
