He was born Dec. 10, 1917, in Brock, a son of George Newton and Daisy Moore Fox.
Mr. Fox lived his entire life in Greene County.
He was a member of Mt. Morris United Church and Mt. Morris Senior Citizens, where he helped deliver Meals on Wheels.
He served on Cedar Grove cemetery Board for several years.
Mr. Fox was a graduate of Mt. Morris High School.
He worked for Van Druff Tractor Sales in Washington for several years and later worked for the state Department of Transportation.
He then worked for Central Greene School District as a custodian. His wife, Evelyn Headlee Fox, died March 31, 1991.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. William (Betty) Rudolph of Massassas, Va.; two sisters, Mrs. Edward (Thelma) Hartley and Mrs. Janette Anderson, both of Mt. Morris; one brother, Lindsey Fox of Spraggs, five grandchildren, William Rudolph Jr., Tammy Bennett, John Rudolph, Joseph Rudolph and Robert Rudolph; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
