Birth: May 2, 1840
Bavaria (Bayern), Germany
Death: Jul. 29, 1915
Franklin County
Missouri, USA

Mary Anna Netscher's name was "Anna-Maria" in Germany.

Daughter of John Netcher and Eva Gropp Netscher, her name was "Anna-Maria" in Germany. Her father was Johanes Netscher, born on Oct 30th 1870 in Wiesenfeld in Northern Bavaria. He died there on Jan 28th 1878.

Mary Anna's mother was Eva Gropp. She was born on Jan 2nd in 1812 in Wiesenfeld, Germany and died there on Mar, 10th, 1869.
Mary Anna Netscher was born in Wiesenfeld, Germany, May 2, 1849, and came to the US in 1877. She had two brothers in the U.S.; Sebastian Netscher (1847-1934 - to US 1873?) and Valentin "Falterle" Netscher (1841-1950?). This Valentin went back soon after coming over to the US. The reason is unknown.

Soon after coming here, she was married to Godfried Heidenfelder in Trinity Church, St. Louis. Mary Anna and Godfried may have known each other in Germany, as he lived in Wiesenfeld, just 2-3 miles from Harrbach. After marriage, the couple came to Pacific where they have since lived.

"Mrs. Heidenfelder had been suffering an attack of malaria and had the misfortune to fall on Sunday, July 25, and fractured her hip; the shock was such that she never rallied. She was the mother of six children, five of whom are living and honored citizens of our city, as follows: Joseph and Louis, Mrs. A. Ebert, Mrs. Charles Schaeffer and Mrs. Annie McCausland. She has ten grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted in St. Bridget's Catholic church, of which she had been a life long member, by Fr. Miller of Kirkwood and the remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery Saturday.

A dutiful wife, kind and loving mother, and a good neighbor will be missed by all.

The transcript joins the many friends of the family in extending them sympathy in their hour of trouble."
