SHELBY ~~ Mr. Charlie Hoover Anthony Jr., 61, died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at home.
Born in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Charlie Hoover Anthony Sr. and Gretel McSwain Anthony. Charlie was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School. He was employed by Southeastern Trucking as a truck driver and was also employed by Mauney and Ruppe Hosiery in Kings Mountain for many years. He was owner and operator of Anthony Fishing Lake and was an avid horseman, hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church and served in the Army.
He is survived by his wife, Sheena Harrill Anthony of the home; sons, Tim and John Anthony of Shelby and Ronnie Kennedy and his special friend, Jamie Lowery, of the home; daughters, Tywaina Marion and husband, Jim, of Shelby and Nicole Kennedy of the home; grandsons, Dustin Anthony of Greenville, S.C., and Dalton Cornwell of the home; a great-nephew and special friend, Paul Harrill and Samantha Rice of the home; an uncle, Frank Anthony of Grover; aunts, Elsie A. Martin and Eunice B. Anthony of Shelby; and by a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Cleveland Memorial Park.
