Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home YAKIMA - Curtis N. Adams, 76, a longtime Yakima Valley resident, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at Landmark Care Center. Curtis was born May 3, 1930, at Midvale, Idaho, to Harry and Myrtle (Parke) Adams. He moved with his family to Tieton, where he was educated. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1950, serving until January 1971, when he retired from the military. Curtis married Valda Jean Graham on July 29, 1956, in Spokane. The couple moved to Gradview in 1971, where he owned an apple orchard and worked for Snokist for twenty years. The couple retired in 1995, and then traveled throughout the United State and wintered in Arizona. Curtis was a lifetime member of William Wharton Post #379 Verterans of Foreign Wars. He deeply loved his family and also enjoyed fishing, traveling, woodworking, crafts and panning for gold. Survivors include two daughters, Lugene (Ed) Borba formerly of Prosser and currently of Coulterville, California, and Terry (Roy) Greenfeather formerly of Yakima and currently of Warsaw, Missouri; three sons, Bruce (Cathy) Brown and Michael (Lisa) Adams, all of Sunnyside; and Harry (Joyce) Adams of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania; two brothers, Eldon (June) Adams of Tieton and Delton (Renee) Adams of Yakima; 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Curtis was preceeded in death by his parents, Harry and Myrtle Adams; his wife, Valda Jean Adams; Two bothers, Albert and Harold Adams; and one sister, Marge Clayton. Viewing will be Thursday, May 25, 2006, from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Langevin-Musseter Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Friday, May 26, 2006, at West Hills Memorial Park. Those attending should meet at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society of Washington, in care of Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
