Quinda "Queenie" Dati-Envernizzi was my fellow employee. She was a marvelous individual, devoted to the care of those who, because of mental and or physical disability, were unable care for themselves. She was most admired, respected, and loved by her collegues and her "Quiet Room" cronies.
It was my priviledge to have visited her at the hospital, a week or so before her passing. No grass was growing under her feet. She was not the type to stop and rest. And, to the reader, this little eulogy could never be complete!
Queenie was devoted to and was survived by her daughter Maria; nieces and nephews, and many, many wounderful friends. She will be affectionately remembered by her collegues at Safe Harbor Adult Day Health Care Center.
I'll miss your cooking, Queenie!
Her memorial card included the 23rd Psalm:
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters; He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His namesake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me. Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
A Memorial Service was held at Lisle Calaveras Chapel.
