|Birth: ||Jul. 28, 1949|
|Death: ||Nov. 28, 2007|
Glenn was born to Ed & Florence Thompson at St Joseph Hospital in Kansas City MO and was a life-long resident of the KC area. He graduated from Southeast High School in 1967, and attended Penn Valley Community College for 2 years. In October 1969, Glenn married his high school sweetheart, Janet, and their son Eric was born in 1975. Glenn worked as a processing supervisor for the Commerce Bank, retiring after 28 years, then drove a shuttle bus for Budget Rent-a-car at KCI for about 5 years.
As a young boy, Glenn was a member of Boy Scout Troop 115 and attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Glenn loved cars, especially the 50s and 60s models, with the 1959 Ford Fairlane being among his favorites. He also enjoyed working with wood.
Over the last several years, Glenn became quite proficient in locating old friends on the internet, reuniting with childhood buddies; reliving old memories and creating new ones. He was the "glue" that kept many of us together.
Glenn died at the Centerpoint Medical Center after a very short battle with cancer. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by wife Janet, Lees Summit, son Eric of Belton, sister Gail Good and husband Gary of Tulsa OK, nieces Joy & Grace Good, Kelsey Chandler, Diane Zurn, and Michelle Franks; nephews Ryan Chandler and Peter Zurn.
His ashes are being taken to Oklahoma by his sister and placed near the ashes of his parents.
Glenn was a good and gentle soul, and will be missed by all who knew him.
