BOY DIES AS RESULT OF GUN SHOT WOUND: Peter Clyde Lingold, the fourteen year old son of Mr. Peter Lingold,died last Wednesday afternoon,as the result of a gunshot wound accidently received on November 2nd. At the time he was wounded young Lingold was returning from squirrel hunting. He had stopped at the home of his aunt,Mrs.Mary Akeridge, and as he was leaving the house he dropped the gun,which striking the steps was discharged. The shot struck the leg near the ankle of his right leg, inflicting a wound which necessitated the amputation of the limb. The operation was performed by Dr. G.D.Compton, and the boy seemed to be getting along nicely until only a few hours before his death. The funeral services were conducted at Oak Grove Church, Thursday afternoon by Rev. Speir, and the remains buried in the church cemetery. The parents have the sympathy of their friends.
