Tipton - Graveside service for FREEDA M. EDWARDS, 83, of Tipton, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tipton Cemetery, with Mike Suiter officiating.
Mrs. Edwards died Saturday July 7, 2007, in Lawton. Burial will be under direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick.
She was born Sept. 18, 1923 in Tipton to Jesse Monroe and Ethel Clementine Albert Tucker. She attended Tipton Public Schools and graduated with the Class of 1940. She married Robert Nathan Edwards in Frederick. They owned and operated Edwards Insurance Agency in White Deer, Texas. After they sold the agency, she worked as a bookkeeper for an automobile agency. She was a member of Tipton Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Juanita Tucker, Tipton, and Carol Joy, Wichita Falls, Texas; three nieces, Dixie Martin, Michael Ann Hall and Kay Peterson; ten nephews, Roger, Thomas, Gary, Lee Van, Craig, Steven, Randall, Rodney, Kenneth and Ronald Tucker; and numerous great-nieces and -nephews; and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
