Catherine Scott Terry, beloved daughter of the late Martha and Andrew Scott, was born on March 27, 1919 in Edisto Island, North Carolina. On Friday, December 30, 1988, after fighting the battle of a lengthy illness, God in His Infinite Wisdom, quietly called our beloved Catherine into His Heavenly Home.
Catherine attended Schools and spent most of her youthful life in South Carolina. Catherine relocated to Maryland in 1923 and decided to become a permanent resident of Baltimore, Maryland.
Catherine was married to Robert James Terry in 1942. This union was blessed with one daughter; the late Dorothy Terry Cannon. Catherine was a loyal and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Catherine was a devout Christian Soldier. Catherine was a dedicated member of The Usher Board and The Flower Circle Committee at The MT. Olive Freewill Baptist Church in 1955 until her health began to fail.
Catherine was a loving, kind and loyal, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Catherine was always willing to help anyone that needed her help. Catherine will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Catherine has left to cherish her loving memories: her adoring husband, Robert J. Terry; grandson, Calvin Cannon; granddaughter-in-law Evon Cannon; two great-grandsons, Tavon and Steven; one brother, Leon Scott of Baltimore; one sister, Anna Gibbs of New York; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends too numerous to count.
