Myrtle Sellers Beam, 100, of died Friday March 14, 2008 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Beam was born in Cleveland Co. on Dec. 15, 1907 to William and Katherine Williams Sellers.
She was a longtime member of St. Marks Lutheran Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Beam devoted her life to unselfish acts of kindness for her family. She was a great example of faith and courage throughout the years. She will be loved and remembered by all who knew her and cherished in the hearts of her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Grady Wiley Beam in 1994, a son Bill Beam in 2005 a daughter Mrs. Bennie Sue Tate in 1965 and nine brothers and sisters.∼Myrtle Sellers Beam, 100, died on Friday, March 14, 2008 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include two daughters Mary Lou Kiser and husband J.B. of Charlotte, Katherine B. Mills of Chesnee, SC a son Ralph D. Beam and wife Lou Etta of Lexington, NC, thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church with Rev. Marty Ramey officiating with burial in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1203 St. Mark's Church Rd., Cherryville, NC 28021.
