John T. McCarthy, 21 years old, member of Engine Company No. 5, Dallas fire department, died yesterday at his home, 3622 Word Street. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. M. E. McCarthy, and had lived in Dallas all his life. He is survived by his parents, his wife, three brothers, Francis, Earl, and William McCarthy, and two sisters, Miss Margaret McCarthy and Mrs. W. B. Matthews, all of Dallas. He was a member of Victoria Camp No 1062, W.O.W. Funeral service wil be held at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the Very Rev. Father B. H. Diamond officiating, at an hour which will be announced later. The burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
