Thelma A. Davies

Thelma A. Davies, 87, of Lindsborg, formerly of Manhattan, died Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Mrs. Davies was born Thelma Agusta Marteney on Aug. 11, 1919 at Sublette. She was an office manager for a laundry and cleaners.

On March 1, 1941, she married William E. Davies at Abilene.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Davies in 1993.

Memberships included the Baptist church, senior center volunteer, president of the women's business club, all of Manhattan.

Survivors include three sisters, Ada Haddock of Two Buttes, Colo., Edna I. Larson of Marquette, Hazel Griffin of Edmonton, Wash.; many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Valley View Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Manhattan.

Memorial may be given to the American Diabetes Association, or the McPherson County Humane Society.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, P.O. Box 386, Lindsborg, 67456.

Thelma is my mother's 1st cousin-in-law.
