ABBATE - Mary J., "Lolly", (nee Landers), aged 85, formerly of Mt. Sinai and Oyster Bay, NY died peacefully in her sleep on January 5, 2015. Predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur.
A proud graduate of St. Dominic's High School, class of 1947. Lolly served as a legal secretary, then as a school secretary in the Middle Country School District.
She leaves behind her devoted children, the Rev. Ann Van Cleef (Robert), Arthur (Benedetta), Alan (Maureen), Amy Chico (Lawrence), and Michael (Ellen); thirteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She will be fondly remembered by her golf buddies, Scrabble partners and scores of close friends, including Richard McGuckin.
Services held at the O.B. Davis Funeral Home, Miller Place, NY. Funeral mass at St. Louis de Montfort R.C. Church, Sound Beach, NY. Interment at Calverton National Cemetery.
