Nancy Armes, 69, died Friday at Hamot Medical Center. She was born in Nashville, TN in 1914, the daughter of the late William and Vera Lee Smith Gilliam II. She moved to the Los Angeles area in 1915 and attended Beverly Hills high school.
She was a member of many orgainzations including the Esatern Star and the council for Republican Women.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald; two sons, Herbert and Edward; a daughter, Arlene; a brother, William Gilliam III; 3 grandchildren; and 2 nephews.
