He was a veteran of the Louisiana National Guard and named Soldier of the Quarter.
Survived by his wife, Mary Ann Welgand Wedge; three daughters, Leslie W. Kuyrkendall, Cindy L. Enick and Cheryl W. Villnurve; three sons, David K. Wedge, Edward R. Wedge III and Rick N. Reggio; a sister, Judy W. Binet; a brother, Robert C. Wedge; 18 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffrey Villnurve; and parents, Edward R. Wedge Sr. and Julia Livermore Wedge.
He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School, a recipient of the Jack Enyart Award from the Construction Specifications Institute, and a past president of the institute.
