UNION CITY, Tenn. — Nettie A. Hyland, 97, of Union City, formerly of South Fulton, died Tuesday at Golden Living Center in Union City, Tenn.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fulton, and owned Hyland Daycare Center. She had also worked in the cafeteria for the South Fulton schools.
She is survived by two daughters, Rose Cekander of San Diego, Calif., and Anita Hyland of Covington, Tenn.; a son, Pat Hyland of St. Louis; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.P. Hyland; her parents, John and Ella Gross Penick; seven brothers; two sisters; and two half-brothers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with interment in Obion County Memorial Gardens in Union City.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
