| Birth: | 1912 | | Death: | 1988 | This memorial was created to honor the legacy and preserve the memory of MY VERY SPECIAL FRIEND ~ Father, Husband, Grand-dad, and friend.
John was very heart broken when he was preceded in death by his wife. Because of depression and becoming an amputee dealing with daily pain and suffering he wanted to join her. But, the Lord allowed our paths to come together at the time of his greatest need. He was a fine gentleman and he enjoyed the time we spent together. Throughout the years he would call every night to make sure I was coming to see him the next day… He was a frail man but he really enjoyed to eat. He really liked his outings that included his favorite restaurants. He really enjoyed the delicious deli sandwiches that he got at the Chow Wagon. His favorite snack was cookies. When he was not pleased with the menu that was being offered at the retirement center, without hesitation he always looked forward to going out for a bite to eat. On major holidays he liked to celebrate at finer restaurants, He really enjoyed good food. He also enjoyed celebrations with my family for summertime cookouts and dinners at my parent's home. John passed on a SUNDAY at the lunch table at Cadbury around 12:05pm. After his life's mission was completed the Lord called him home. He was a caring and generous man to all that knew him and his kindness will always be remembered. He was the ‘grandfather figure' that I never knew and he left fond memories that will be always cherished. I think God for his presence and the Lord's willing; he will always be remembered by family and his host of friends. He was my adopted grand-dad. Rest in eternal peace John until we meet again. bio by (PauL Cofer).
