Enlisted October 1, 1861 mustered in as Private October 16, 1861 with Company A. 2nd Wisconsin Cavalry died of disease at Missouri February 21, 1863.

Son of Electa Quinney Adams-Candy and Daniel Adams. In 1860 census, he is Daniel Adams, age 20 of Stockbridge, Calumet county, Wisconsin, living with brothers: Alex, age 22 and John, age 17.

In a letter to his mother, he wrote on August 8, 1862, from Springfield, Missouri: "I don't think the hospital doctors know any too much. There are a great many of our boys getting sick.. . Do you know what would be good for them?"
