Walter Brooks, 65, died Sunday, December 21, 2003 in a local hospital. Services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 24, 2003 in Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Frank Hutcheson officiating. Interment will be in Heritage Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Brooks was a native of Hancock County but lived in Baldwin County for most of his life. Son of the late Alex Delan Brooks and the late Maggie Johnson Brooks. Mr. Brooks was retired from the Baldwin County Road Department and was employed by the Union recorder. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children Sylvia Davis and Chad Meeks, both of Milledgeville; sister, Jane Marshall of Rossville; brothers, Linsay Brooks of Sumter, SC, Alex Rider, both of Milledgeville: one grandchild, Corey Davis of Milledgeville.
The family will be at the funeral home Tuesday, December 23, 2003 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
