Russell Bentley passed away on Nov. 14, 2012. Russell was born Oct. 29, 1918 in Gentry County, MO. He was predeceased by his parents, Jefferson Edward Bentley and Dora Edith Green; brothers, James, Elwood, and Junior; a stillborn sibling; his wife of 45 years, Anna (d.1993); and daughter, Patricia (d.1966). He ardently served his country in WWII & the Korean War as a member of the Army Air Corps, later the U.S. Air Force, taking part in significant operations in North Africa, the Balkans & Italy. He retired from the Air Force in 1961. At his request there will be no service. He will be interred with his wife at the San Joaquin National Cemetery in Gustine, CA.
