Anna was born in Collegeville to Nickolus & Mary (Sperl) Thielman. She married Edmund Auer on April 17, 1941 at St. John's. They farmed in rural Albany until retirement in the mid 80's when they moved to town in Albany. Anna enjoyed quilting, canning jellies & jams, baking bread & visiting with family, friends & especially her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Catholic Aid Society, St. Jude's Mission Group, Mother of Mercy Auxiliary, Stearns County Pioneer Club, & Seven Dolors Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edmund on January 7, 2003, daughter, Eileen Brinkman, infant daughter, great-grandson, Anthony Ludwig & brothers & sister, Robert, Oswald, Leo, Clarence, Francis, & Alice Schroeder.
