He was married to Livia Elizabeth (Graham) sometime after he arrived in Oklahoma from Missouri, before 1910. He registered for WW I Draft...don't know if he served. They lived in Oklahoma for some years where their children, Glen W., 1909-1984; Ralph R. 1914-1986; Leo Luther, 1918-1989, and Mary Ella, ? were born. Shortly after 1940, they moved to central Calif., where Rev. Waltman began the Turlock Free Will Baptist Church March 22, 1942, with nineteen charter members. He was elected its first pastor. In the following months lots were purchased and in 1945, a new church auditorium was built at Landers and "C: streets. The church worshiped there for almost twenty years. Rev. Waltman was pastor from 1942-1946. He was active in the state work, and probably pastored the Modesto First FWB church. He was a member of Turlock at the time of his death at 73 yrs..lacking three days being 74 years. He was a dedicated and faithful man, and was respected by his family, friends and church family.
