J.E. "BUD" HOOPER, 88, of Plantersville, TX, passed away April 18, 2012. Born in Joaquin, TX, where he learned to play the guitar. He became widely known as one of "Bud and Bud the Hooper Twins," playing real country music for 70 years. After retiring from HL&P Tomball Division, followed by a battle with cancer, he continued to enjoy life to the full.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Mildred; sister-in-law Edna Hooper; and "grandson" Jason Hooper.
He is survived by his twin brother, G.A. "Bud" Hooper and his children Gerald Hooper and wife Kathaleen, Donna Henningsen and husband George, Kenneth Hooper and wife Dena; granddaughter Rachelle Hooper; sister-in-law Minnie Lee Malone; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loving family members and friends.
Friends may visit with his family from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 20, at Klein Funeral Home, Magnolia, where funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 21. Interment to follow in Klein Memorial Park, SH 249, Pinehurst.
