Manson "Buck" Chambers, 72, a lifetime resident of Clinton County, died Sunday at 12:45 a.m. at the hospital.

He was born February 8, 1880, a son of Martin and Drucilla (Clark) Chambers. Sole survivors are several cousins.

Mr. Chambers lived in and around Frankfort all his life. At one time he operated the Red Front Garage on West Washington Street. Later he engaged in the moving van business. Prior to that he was employed as a city fireman, driving the fire teams in the horse and wagon days.

Interment will be in Whiteman Cemetery.
