Lillard Preston Davis, Route 1, Dunnville (Rheber), died Thursday, May 2, 1985 at the Summit Manor Nursing Home in Columbia. He was 93 years old. Born in North Carolina on Dec. 18, 1891, he was the son of Monroe and America Shephard Davis. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Ella Vannoy Davis; four sons, Earl Davis of Liberty, Ray and Herbert Davis, both of Dunnville; and Carl Davis of Champaign, Ill.; three daughters, Ruth Patton of Dunnville, Gldays Rodgers Jessee of Columbia and Hazel Norman of Sunman, Ind.; 34 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Leonard and Wade Davis both of Liberty. A daughter, Ruby Davis, three sisters and two brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services were May 4 at the McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Dough Moseley officiating. Burial was in the Old Antioch Cemetery.
